After being found not guilty of attempted murder (720 ILCS 5/8-4, 9-1) (West 1992) and aggravated battery (720 ILCS 5/12-4 (West 1992)) by reason of insanity, defendant, Michael Shelton, was remanded to the custody of the Illinois Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (DMHDD).
