MESCHKE, Justice.

Nancy Kraft appealed an amended divorce decree changing custody of her children to Joel Kraft. We reverse and remand for more specific findings because the trial court incorrectly analyzed the effect of domestic violence.

Joel and Nancy Kraft were married in 1982, and had three children: Doris, Joel, Jr., and Sadie. Joel and Nancy were separated in 1988. In June 1990, Joel pleaded guilty to drug charges and was sentenced to prison for fifty...
