On August 21, 1991, Eagle Watch Investments, Inc., filed a complaint in the District Court for the Fourteenth Judicial District in Golden Valley County in which it alleged that Alex and Trudy Smith had breached their lease agreement with Eagle Watch, and in which it sought damages for that breach.
