OPINION

CORNELIUS, Chief Justice.

Rodolfo Munoz was convicted of murder. The jury set his punishment at forty-eight years' imprisonment. On appeal Munoz does not challenge the sufficiency of the evidence, but he contends that he should have a new trial because the trial court erroneously admitted in evidence a tape and a transcript of a 911 emergency call, and erroneously refused to submit jury instructions on manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide...
