Braun-Skiba ("plaintiff"), an architectural firm, rendered services relating to property being developed by Wolf Point Development Corporation ("Wolf Point"). After Wolf Point failed to make its contractually scheduled payments, plaintiff filed lien number 89304682 ("lien one") with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds on July 5, 1989.
