Defendant, Steven Winnon, was charged by bill of information with aggravated obstruction of a highway in violation of La.R.S. 14:96 and second degree battery in violation of La.R.S. 14:34.1. After a bench trial, the district judge found defendant guilty as charged and imposed concurrent maximum sentences of fifteen and five years at hard labor, respectively, and denied a timely motion for reconsideration.
