LARSEN, Justice.

The appellant, Bobby Bowers, was convicted by a jury of sexual assault of a child and sentenced by the court to a term of twelve years confinement. In a single point of error, Bowers contends that his conviction is based on an ex post facto law in violation of the Texas and United States Constitutions.
