On the evening of Saturday, September 18, 1993, Jerry Lee Berry went to the home of his estranged wife, Ada Berry, raped her at knifepoint and left. The following morning he returned to Mrs. Berry's trailer briefly, then returned again that afternoon when he shot her in the chest and the head with a .44 magnum revolver. Willie Daniels, who lived with Mrs. Berry's mother in a house next door to the trailer, came to his front door, saw the victim...
