Charles Verdel Farnsworth was convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The district court enhanced Farnsworth's sentence based on its findings that: (1) Farnsworth previously had been convicted of two crimes of violence; (2) the possession of a firearm was in connection with another felony; and (3) Farnsworth was guilty of obstruction of justice.
