Defendant, Eric Anthony Gallegos, appeals the judgment of conviction entered on jury verdicts finding him guilty of second degree murder and accessory after-the-fact to manslaughter. Among the grounds for reversal asserted by defendant is that he was denied his statutory right to a speedy trial.
