While Kimberly Vidrine was leasing an apartment from Tahoe North Apartments (Tahoe), the apartment was damaged by a fire started by Vidrine's four-year-old son. Tahoe claimed Vidrine was liable to it under the terms of the lease for approximately $18,900 in fire damage.
