Plaintiff Raquel Blair was a twenty-two-year-old pregnant woman who was treated at defendant Hutzel Hospital. She filed this action against the hospital, alleging that the defendant negligently failed to offer her maternal serum alpha fetoprotein (MSAFP) screening during the second trimester of her pregnancy.
