Plaintiff Gary Cartwright instituted this action seeking recovery for personal injuries allegedly caused by a defective truck tire manufactured by defendant Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Plaintiff Laura Cartwright sought recovery for loss of consortium as a result of the injuries suffered by her husband. The claims were tried before a jury which returned a verdict of $9,040,000 in favor of Gary Cartwright...
