OPINION

MICHAEL F. CAVANAGH, Justice.

This case requires us to determine whether the reassignment of a school administrator to a nonadministrative teaching position constitutes "nonrenewal" of a contract under 1979 PA 183, M.C.L. § 380.132; M.S.A. § 15.4132, repealed by 1995 P.A. 289.1 We believe that it does. We affirm the decision of the Court of Appeals.
