This is a civil action in tort wherein plaintiffs Joe and Kelly Eldridge allege that defendant, Crane Valve Company, is liable for the injuries, future medical expenses, mental distress, and loss of consortium suffered because a plug valve of defendant's design broke and struck Mr. Eldridge in the face.
