This appeal presents a single issue: Did either "defendant"1 receive written notice2 of plaintiffs'3 claim before the lawsuit was filed? The trial court calculated prejudgment interest beginning 180 days after the date plaintiffs' lawyer sent written notice to a lawyer who represented one of the defendants.
