This is an appeal by allowance from a memorandum decision of the Superior Court which affirmed a judgment of sentence imposed by the Court of Common Pleas of Erie County. 427 Pa.Super. 643, 625 A.2d 90. In 1991, the appellant, Walter Russell Jones, was convicted of murder of the first degree, possession of an instrument of crime, and carrying a firearm without a license.
