Appellant, the holder of a letter of credit, brought this action after respondent bank refused to honor appellant's demand for payment on a letter of credit because appellant presented an altered photocopy instead of the original. Both parties moved for summary judgment. The district court granted respondent's motion because it found no genuine issue of material fact and concluded as a matter of law that holders of letters of credit...
