We granted plaintiff's writ application because this Court has not yet had occasion to address La.R.S. 9:2800.6 as revised in 1990 and its effect on a plaintiff's burden of proof in a slip and fall case. The jury awarded plaintiff damages for injuries sustained when she slipped and fell, allegedly in cooking oil, in a grocery store. The Court of Appeal reversed, finding that the jury's conclusion was clearly wrong...
