McMILLAN, Judge.

The appellant was convicted of theft of property in the second degree, a violation of § 13A-8-4, Code of Alabama 1975. Following a sentencing hearing, he was sentenced, pursuant to the Habitual Felony Offender Act, to 16 years in the state penitentiary. He was further ordered to pay $50 to the crime victims' compensation fund.
