I. INTRODUCTION

Nanette Sauve was injured in a fall down a staircase at her corporate employer's place of business. Dennis Winfree and Bill Nix are shareholders in and officers of the corporation. Winfree and Nix also own the building that houses the business, but do so through a partnership that they own in its entirety.
