On October 3, 1991, just after midnight, the defendant and his codefendants, Richard Rodriguez and Freddy Carradero, acting in concert with one another, shot and killed Julio Hidalgo, wounded Wolfredo Ramos and Tony Montana, and shot at Alberto Vasquez.
