The Florida Insurance Guaranty Association, Inc. (FIGA) appeals a final judgment in favor of an injured plaintiff, Terrance Johnson, for costs of $3,062.11 over and above the damage award of $9,900.00. Pursuant to section 631.57(1)(b), Florida Statutes (1991), FIGA became liable to Johnson upon the insolvency of the tortfeasor's insurer, First Miami Insurance Company (First Miami), after Johnson's jury trial against the tortfeasor.
