The plaintiffs, James R. Lipham and Linda L. Lipham, appeal from summary judgments in favor of the defendants, General Motors Corporation ("G.M.") and Tiara Motorcoach Corporation ("Tiara"). The case involves the Liphams' purchase of a new Tiara-customized Chevrolet van, manufactured by G.M., which they allege had numerous defects. In May 1993, the Liphams sued G.M. and Tiara, stating causes of action under Ala.Code 1975, § 8-20A-1 et seq. ...
