This action arises out of injuries sustained by Thomas Rodgers on the premises of the James River II, Inc., paper plant in St. Francisville, Louisiana, when he allegedly slipped on a stairwell covered with grease and degreasing agents. At the time of the accident, Rodgers was employed by Thermo-Tech, Inc., which by contract was involved in the removal and replacement of asbestos insulation at the plant.
