This case addresses the fatality of Sylvia Uriegas (Sylvia) arising out of a motorist/pedestrian accident involving her ex-husband, Jerry Uriegas (Jerry). Plaintiffs, Danny Louis Uriegas (Danny), individually, and as the duly appointed provisional tutor of his minor sisters, Patricia Elaine Uriegas and Anna Marie Uriegas, filed suit for the wrongful death of their mother, Sylvia, against Jerry, the plaintiffs' father.
