Defendant, a police officer, was convicted for sexually attacking a prostitute who had withdrawn from an initial consensual transaction. Defendant was apprehended when the victim alerted passing police. Viewing the evidence in a light most favorable to the People and giving due deference to the jury's findings of fact and credibility, under standards set forth in People v Bleakley (69 N.Y.2d 490, 494-495) defendant's guilt was proven...
