Hill McLain and his former wife Vivian McLain have a son Jessie "Mike" McLain. In the fall of 1987, Mike was injured in a high-school football game in Alabama where he and his mother resided. Hill McLain was a resident of Wayne County, Mississippi. On October 16, 1987, a clinic then known as Medical Park Bone & Joint Center, P.A. performed knee surgery on Mike for a torn ligament.
