The defendant, Herman J. Bernard, was charged by bill of information with possession of a stolen vehicle valued over five hundred dollars, a violation of La.R.S. 14:69. After a jury trial on March 16, 1994, Mr. Bernard was found guilty as charged. He was adjudicated a second felony offender and was sentenced to five years at hard labor. Mr. Bernard appeals his conviction and his adjudication as a second offender...
