This action was brought by the plaintiff, Farm Credit Bank of Columbia, to recover the deficiency following a foreclosure sale of the Van Dorp property in Hyde County. Mary H. Van Dorp and A.H. Van Dorp denied that there was any deficiency alleging that the plaintiff purchased the property at the foreclosure for substantially less than its fair market value. On 31 October 1989, Judge Thomas S. Watts found that the defendants waived their statutory defense...
