The respondent appeals from the habeas court's judgment granting relief to the petitioner on his writ of habeas corpus.1 The respondent challenges the habeas court's conclusion that the petitioner's counsel rendered ineffective assistance at trial and at the plea bargaining and plea stages in violation of the petitioner's rights guaranteed by the sixth2
