Toinette Fontenot and Willard Brandenburg appeal from an order by a United States Magistrate Judge in the Western District of Louisiana granting judgment as a matter of law to the defendants on the grounds of qualified immunity and conditionally granting the defendants' motion for a new trial. We affirm the magistrate judge's order as to Willard Brandenburg, but we reverse and remand for further proceedings consistent with this opinion as to...
