CASTILLE, Justice.

This is an automatic direct appeal1 from the judgments of sentence of death and concurrent and consecutive terms of imprisonment imposed upon appellant, Michael LaCava, by the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Criminal Division. For the reasons set forth below, we affirm appellant's convictions but vacate the sentence of death and remand the matter back to the trial court...
