This is a child custody modification case.

Carlyn Frazier (mother) and Vernon Frazier (father) were divorced in February 1993. The mother was awarded custody of the parties' minor daughter, who was then 15 years old. In June 1993, the father filed a motion seeking custody of the daughter, alleging hostility and dissention between the mother and daughter.
