In November 1993, a jury convicted defendant, Duff A. Christy, of three separate counts of driving while license revoked (DWR) after having previously been convicted of DWR when the original revocation resulted from a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501 (West 1992)), in violation of section 6-303(d) of the Illinois Vehicle Code (Code) (625 ILCS 5/6-303(d) (West 1992))...
