This is a workers' compensation case involving a claim for alternate medical care under Iowa Code section 85.27 (1993). The claimant, Barry Long, became dissatisfied with the employer's decision to have him evaluated and treated at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, rather than the Mayo Clinic.
