Doris Diamond brought a negligence action against the Springfield Metropolitan Exposition Auditorium Authority ("SMEAA"), the owner and operator of a public convention center located in Springfield, Illinois, claiming she suffered physical injuries as a result of a fall at the SMEAA's convention center. The district court granted the SMEAA's motion for summary judgment, ruling that Diamond's claim was barred by the Illinois Local Government...
