The defendant, Cedric Edwards, was convicted by a jury of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a.1 On appeal,2 the defendant claims that the trial court improperly refused to instruct the jury on his claim of self-defense. We agree and, therefore, reverse the judgment of the trial court.
