Barkley E. Sample is a person of African ancestry. Sample was hired by Aldi Inc., in April 1990 as a district supervisor trainee in Aldi's Batavia, Illinois, division. Sample was promoted to district supervisor for the Batavia division in October 1990 following completion of his training.
