Defendants Seeta McKnight, Edsel ("Ed") Page, Mary Jackson, Doris Rogers, and David Scalise were each indicted on a 31-count indictment, charging them with conspiracy to defraud under 18 U.S.C. § 371; twenty-four counts of mail fraud under 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341, 1342; and six counts of wire fraud under 18 U.S.C. §§ 1343, 1342. Seeta McKnight pleaded guilty, and the remaining defendants were convicted after a jury trial...
