BEAM, Circuit Judge.

Disappointed with the results obtained in two previous trials, Morrison Enterprises and Farmland Industries1 each ask this court for a third chance to obtain favorable verdicts. The parties appeal jury verdicts which deny them recovery for response costs incurred under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 9601 et seq. (CERCLA). We affirm.
