Plaintiffs claimed that their roof leaked and was in need of repair before the expiration of a written five-year guarantee. After defendant Barra Corporation of America (Barra) declined to remedy the problem, plaintiffs commenced this action. The trial judge granted summary judgment on the ground that plaintiffs' suit was barred by the four-year statute of limitations in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC),
