The defendant, Herbert Prioleau, was convicted by a jury of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a,1 for fatally shooting the victim, Anthony Vitale. On appeal,2 the defendant claims that the trial court improperly: (1) instructed the jury on his claim of self-defense; (2) permitted the state to cross-examine him and offer rebuttal evidence...
