This appeal is from the entry of judgment in favor of plaintiff, Richard Sprague, and against defendant, Philadelphia Newspapers, Inc. (hereinafter PNI) in this defamation case in which the jury awarded Mr. Sprague $2.5 million in compensatory damages and $31.5 million in punitive damages.
