(jointly, "Housatonic"), sought an exemption from the Interstate Commerce Act ("ICA") to permit their acquisition and operation of a rail line in Massachusetts and Connecticut, known as the Canaan Secondary Branch, then owned by the Boston and Maine Corporation ("B & M").
