Tonjia Eubanks was convicted by a jury in the district court1 on two counts of embezzling money from the federally insured bank where she worked as a teller, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 656 (Supp. V 1993). On appeal, Eubanks challenges the government's use of a peremptory strike to remove the only black venireperson from the jury panel, and she questions the sufficiency of the evidence against her.
