BOUDIN, Circuit Judge.

On August 31, 1993, a grand jury indicted Nicholas Brien for armed bank robbery, 18 U.S.C. §§ 2113(a), (d), and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence, id. § 924(c)(1). In April 1994, a jury convicted Brien of the former offense, and he was later sentenced to 204 months in prison. He now appeals, raising important issues concerning (1) expert evidence on eyewitness identification and (2) courtroom identification...
