Defendants Dennis Dyke, Fred Christians, Robert Mayer and Sherry Burt appeal the denial of qualified immunity in this § 1983 action brought by plaintiff Michael Ward, a state prisoner. Plaintiff Michael Ward's ("Ward") suit stems from his transfer from Ionia Temporary Facility ("ITF") to the Chippewa Temporary Facility ("URF"). Ward alleges that he was transferred because he exercised his First Amendment right to seek redress of grievances...
