On January 6, 1994, Trane Davis stole $71,000 from the Olin Employees Credit Union in Godfrey, Illinois. On March 22, 1994, a jury of Davis' peers convicted him of three crimes related to this robbery: 1) robbery of a credit union, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a); 2) using and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(1); and 3) forcing a victim to accompany him during a robbery, in violation...
