The sole issue in this certified appeal is whether, in a marriage dissolution case, minor children who are represented by an attorney appointed by the trial court pursuant to General Statutes § 46b-54,1 but not by a guardian ad litem or next friend, may appeal from a judgment of the trial court concerning the support obligations of the children's parents.2
